Executive Director

The National District Attorneys Association (NDAA), located in Alexandria, Virginia is seeking an Executive Director to be responsible for the proper management of all aspects and activities of the association of prosecutor members.

Candidate must:

*Be able to implement activities to achieve the mission, goals and policies of the association by mobilizing the energy and expertise of the membership and staff.

*Demonstrate a distinguished record of executive leadership and successful management of an association or professional organization.

*Point to specific examples of having developed and implemented strategies that have taken and organization to the next stage of growth.

*Have experience managing a multi-million dollar budget.

*Have experience managing federal grants.

*Have experience in developing, implementing and evaluating a strategic plan.

*Demonstrate excellence in organizational management with the ability to manage and develop personnel as well as set and achieve objectives.

*Demonstrate the ability to identify, obtain and manage federal grants and other public or private sources of revenue.

*Demonstrate an ability to establish contact within Congress and highest levels of Executive Branch to advance the mission of the association.

*Have experience working with an elected executive and active board.

*Have highly developed communication and advocacy skills.

*Have the ability to communicate effectively with and through all forms of media.

*Have strong written and verbal communication skills; a passionate and persuasive communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.

Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree. A higher professional degree and someprosecutorial experience are highly preferred.

Nationwide travel required.

Salary and Benefits: $170,000-$190,000 subject to negotiation based upon qualifications and experience.Equitable and generous benefits packageincluded.

Applications will be reviewed and some applicants will be asked to appear in Bar Harbor, Maine on or about September 28-29, 2017 for further interviews. The applicants will be expected to cover their travel and lodging expenses for these interviews if selected to participate.

The final candidates will be interviewed in New York City on or about November 16-17, 2017. The National District Attorneys Association will cover the travel and lodging expenses for these candidates.
