Litigation Associate Attorney (Bankruptcy & Creditors’ Rights - Rochester, NY)

LeClairRyan is currently seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney in Rochester, New York who will contribute to overall success and help secure the bright future of the Firm. 

 

Established in 2011, LeClairRyan’s Rochester, New York office is located in Linden Oaks and is home to approximately 34 attorneys as well additional professional support staff. A large portion of our Rochester team is comprised of Intellectual Property attorneys whose backgrounds focus on patent prosecution and litigation. In addition, LeClairRyan team members offer services in areas such as business litigation and bankruptcy and creditor’s rights.

 

The associate will assist our busy litigation team with handling all facets of litigation from inception through trial including handling the preparation of pleadings, researching, drafting and opposing motions related to pleadings and discovery, appearing at court conferences, review/summarize discovery responses, prepare discovery responses and objections and attend depositions.

 

Required Skills

  • At least 3 - 5 years of litigation experience.  Bankruptcy experience is a plus.
  • Superior communication and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional analytical and writing skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Confidence to work directly with clients and colleagues in a fast-paced environment.
  • New York bar admission required.
