The DC office of a leading, Chambers-ranked Tax Practice seeks to hire two accomplished transactional tax associates (with 3-6 years of experience) to handle a range of U.S. Federal and International tax matters. The group represents many of the world’s most prominent companies and has over 80 years of experience in federal, state and local and international taxation. Successful candidates for this position will have experience advising clients on both inbound and outbound transactions and federal tax matters relating to acquisitions, mergers, restructurings, and spin-offs (expertise in Subchapter C is ideal), as well as tax planning for large public corporations. No litigation or tax controversy work is envisioned in this role. The position requires an excellent academic record, strong writing skills and an appreciation for teamwork. Ideally candidates will have training in another AmLaw top 100 firm’s transactional tax practice, but attorneys coming from accounting firms or the IRS are welcome to apply. An LL.M. in tax is advantageous but not required.
