Family Law Associate Attorney

Our compensation package is very competitive and based on years of experience. Family law experience is required for this position. Trial experience is preferred.

The ideal candidate would have 4 + years of family law experience in Georgia with a desire to practice long-term in the metropolitan-Atlanta area. Our cases are primarily in Fulton and Cobb counties, with additional practice in surrounding counties. We want to further your legal education and training, help build your reputation within the field and Bar associations, and grow your skills as an attorney.

Responsibilities:

  • Competently and independently manage all aspects of a family law case from beginning to end.
  • Draft and prepare documents for filing with the court, including legal briefs and motions.
  • Draft and prepare final documents including parenting plans, child support worksheets, and settlement agreements.
  • Correspond with parties outside the firm and with other attorneys regarding cases.
  • Conduct depositions and/or deposition preparation.
  • Conduct temporary hearings and/or temporary preparation.
  • Conduct and/or assist in final trial preparation, strategy and litigation.
  • Communicate regularly with clients to inform them of case status and review billing statements.
  • Active involvement in one or more Bar associations (or individual sections), including attending marketing events as your schedule allows.
  • Maintaining continuing legal education.
